Employed by local contractor Guernsey Air Conditioning, and working alongside consultants Hoare Lea at Bristol, the project comprises of two JET air induction ventilation and heating systems. The main design criteria was to provide a comfortable environment during the summer months for the postal workers within the letters and parcel halls.
After carrying out Hevacomp calculations with various airflows it was decided to opt for 2.5 air changes of fresh air as this would achieve an internal space temperature of approximately 4°C above the outside ambient condition.
